I lived in Kansas City for five years and loved it, but have to admit there are things I really like about both cities that make a decision on which is “best” difficult. Kansas City has a great downtown and restaurants, the people are nice, but the city lacks the size to support the many different neighborhoods that St. Louis enjoys. I also enjoy hiking, camping and biking, which St. Louis has lots more access to. I’d be happy in either city, but I think St. Louis has a slight edge in my book.

@Terri, not a fair argument, the rest of the country is too stupid to realize that most of Kansas City is in Missouri, not Kansas.

Whatever, this comparison between STl and KC is old. I have lived in both cities. STL people absolutely don’t care about KC. People in KC are absolutely obsessed with STL. WTF? Both cities are as different as night and day. Not even close to being similar. STL = Old, East coast, KC = newer, Western City. Which is better? Depends upon what you like. I currently live in STL if that tells you anything.

I moved here a few months ago and those kansas people have an attitude. They need to get a life, the world doesn’t even care if kansas exists. The best thing for Kansas City would be to change its name and banned this bunch of ingnorant babies. You’ll never catch St. Louis and Missouri poeple have humility and grace. You should be glad they don’t throw up all over you.

Just more kansas/kansas city (same thing)jealously of Missouri and a much better city than whinny kc. I have lived in kc and it truely is a evil, currupt, backward mess. Get rid of the kansas thing and you would find spiritual awakening. kansas means “hell” in indian.

#3 First Settled by the French. Yeah right. If St. Louis was anything like France it would be paradise. It isn’t. Paris, hell, even a hay bale in France puts St. Louis to shame.

The funny thing is that people in Stl don’t even care about KC. Give it up. KC will never be Stl. The only thing people in stl care about is the obnoxious noise coming from the smaller bratty city to the west trying to be cool. Get over it! Why do people in KC always try to compare it to st. louis. They’re completely different cities.
